Craquelins Finds Success at Seacoast Farmers’ Markets

Diane Romagnoli has had a very productive year at the Seacoast Farmers’ Markets. You helped make her new line of flatbread crisps, Craquelins, a huge success! So much so, that she is moving production to a new kitchen. The bad news is that we are losing her to Concord next year.

But not to worry… At this week’s Portsmouth market you still have a chance to sample these delicious treats, featuring two seasonal varieties. Diane says the special edition Harvest Pumpkin Spice tastes like “pumpkin pie on a cracker”, and Sweet Cinnamon Sugar is her version of cinnamon toast.

Sounds like two great reasons to come to the market on Saturday, wish her well, and take home these popular (and we might add, beautiful) new crackers.

Find out more about Diane and the Good Bread Company.

    Thanks for Another Great Year!

This Saturday, November 5th, marks the close of the Seacoast Grower’s Association Farmers’ Market season.

We open up again in May, and until then you’ll have to find your fresh local at the winter farmers’ markets. Many of our vendors migrate to these during the winter, so be sure to visit them!

To find your favorite SGA members this winter, look no further than the winter markets and many of the seacoast’s studio tours. Here are some links to help you continue to eat local and buy local!

Seacoast Eat Local will host 12 winter farmers’ markets from November 2011 – April 2012. Markets are hosted at Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford and at Exeter High School in Exeter. All markets are held 10am-2pm, rain, snow or shine!
